Pros

Wonderful coworkers and interesting projects

Cons

Upper management asks us to take part in quarterly surveys where they ask us how we feel and how to make things better, only to turn around and do the complete opposite. They are now asking us to work more for the same amount of pay, and want us to basically live in the office. Upper management holds meetings where they ask us to be honest and share feedback, but open with “but these changes are mandatory and I love it, but what do you think?” So it completely discourages any sort of honest conversation. Not to mention, the CEO will just tell us to quit if we don’t like it.

Pros

Great colleagues and lower level managers

Cons

1. Low pay and Benefits: The salary is below industry standards, and the benefits package is not competitive compared to similar companies. 2. Toxic Work Environment: The workplace culture felt toxic, with a lack of support and respect. Unrealistic project timelines added significant stress. 3. No Work-Life Balance: Employees are often expected to work late into the night regularly in the office, leading to burnout and affecting overall morale. 4. Frequent layoffs: Layoff every quarter—create a constant sense of instability and fear among employees. 5. Terrible Product Outlook: The direction of the BI/AI product and other newly developed product feels unclear, with little innovation or progress toward building a sustainable future for it. 6. Management Issues: Instances of disrespect from upper management regarding employees’ racial and religious identities have been disheartening and unprofessional.

Pros

Inputting just for Glassdoor requirement.

Cons

Worked in Polish IT department of the company. It’s a pathetic and dishonorable work environment for any engineer. The work environment and colleagues are highly immature and disregard basic social norms, laws frequently. Similar negative opinions can be stated about the local upper management and main upper management in USA. When joining the company most of the previous employees of the IT department left and based on the responses of the few employees that did stay it’s due to the Polish office creating a new line of products for the company’s BI initiatives that were falsely accredited to the USA office due to internal corruption. The work environment is highly toxic and the company hires pretty much anyone who is willing to join with little to no qualification. This creates the standard weak environment of the industry were many people who are highly unqualified to perform roles in any engineering field create immense amounts of low quality code that is difficult to maintain and employees that struggle to understand, learn coding basics create a culture that values low quality solutions that require as little engineering, coding knowledge or skill as possible with employees being incapable of grasping more complex subjects. The few qualified employees that the company is capable of acquiring are either mediocre or highly uncultured, toxic and incapable of cooperating properly in a civilized environment. Beyond the actual craft the environment itself is very “trashy”. Employees behave like children and lack basic maturity, decency to operate in any respectable work environment. Complaints to HR are either unresolved or the department falsely claims that they haven’t identified any issues after performing internal investigations. After quitting this pathetic cesspit of unqualified criminal scum I had to deal with defamation in future employment opportunities frequently. This organization is a disgrace to the Polish society and is little more than a soft colony of an USA company. I strongly discourage any respectable engineer to join this kindergarten of criminals. If you do have the misfortune of joining this criminal establishment I advise to seek good legal counsel and track every interaction as much as you can. Hopefully this organization doesn’t stay afloat for too long and humanity’s resources can be spent on meaningful and honorable pursuits and not this disgraceful and corrupt company.

Pros

Can’t think of any because this company is truly bad

Cons

Most of my colleagues are fired. Upper management have no understanding of our product and fires entire teams without hiring replacements. We now work until 1:00am in the office five days a week and they expect us to come in at 9:00am next morning… Oh did I mention, no PTO and we have to be online during holidays too? I’m now experiencing a lot of lower back pain because of sitting for long hours in the office. Because of this burnout culture, I can’t even get approval from my manager to go to see a doctor. I’m going to quit soon! Only wished I quit earlier.

Pros

Nothing , this is the worst company i resigned in 11 months

Cons

Every company has some basic hierarchy and respect boundaries — engineers, support staff, and then office staff. But in MicroStrategy, office-level people are treated like Level 1, and engineers are treated like a mistake. This place runs on pure politics. Someone whose job is literally to manage snacks and basic office tasks is treated like a god, and software engineers are called “wrong hires” and “rich spoiled kids.” Customer support and office staff with basic job backgrounds are getting stock worth 50+ lakhs, while engineers who actually build things get treated like garbage. Favouritism is everywhere. Upper management is basically one group speaking the same language, from the same place, and the environment is extremely toxic. We joined as 8 software engineers and 3 QA. Today only 2 people are left. Everyone else resigned. The company wastes skilled people and then blames them. Directors and VPs with 25+ years of “experience” — not in tech, just in talking — openly said “rotten oranges left.” They hire based on language, personal connections, and ex-employees. I’ve never seen a VP insult his own mother in a meeting to make a point and then compare engineers to her. That tells you a lot about the mentality. This same VP keeps bragging about having 50 crores, a farmhouse, and 20 pets. Nobody cares. What he doesn’t have is basic respect or maturity. All 11 of us were working nights, giving everything. And still, in every call — USA, Poland, China — they were told by this VP that the Indian team is “not working” and is a “liability.” When I resigned, I genuinely felt like the happiest person on the planet. Final Note: You can earn 5 lakhs less somewhere else and still be far happier. Mental health is everything. Join this place only if you truly have no other option.
