Pros

Mike's Bikes supports a life balance - work hard and play hard. Employees get exposed to the newest and coolest cycling products and get to participate in local Mike's Bikes events/rides. Mike's is not a 'heavy' or bureaucratic organization - it feels entrepreneurial and flexible.

Cons

As in any small organization, there is no room for slackers. Either you want to work hard and embrace your job or you will find yourself going to work somewhere else.

Pros

Employees are genuine enthusiasts. For retail - the benefits are great, a family first company that truly cares about it's employees. Employee discounts on awesome products, even the customers are great.

Cons

It is retail, so whether you're in a store or in HQ expect to work some holidays / weekends as needed. Luckily, the environment is so supportive that working a bit extra doesn't feel like work, and management takes notice.

Pros

The owners and managers strive to be the best and are hungry for ideas that will help move the company forward and get more folks riding bicycles. If you have ideas, they will be heard here. Any member of the management team would personally go above and beyond to help a customer or bike-related cause. They are passionate about being involved in the community so there are opportunities to attend and participate in events. Benefits are good and the culture is casual and awesome. It's a big rad brand with a local bike shop feel if you work at any of their 11 stores. Great discounts and you get paid .10 per mile ride your bike and you get to demo bikes!

Cons

No complaints. There is an anonymous feedback system so you can submit ideas or concerns anytime and someone responds within a day or two.
