Good starter job.

Pros

Majority of the coworkers I’ve worked with here were very friendly and extremely willing to help when asked. You have the option to work completely remote, learn brand new technologies. This is a good job if you are fresh out of college and looking to build experience.

Cons

The starting pay is a bit higher than minimum wage. Working hard does not push management to reward you financially. After going back and forth with my support manager for over a month on why I deserve a raise I was given a 1k raise which was disrespectful considering what I was already getting paid. It wasn’t until I put in my 2 weeks notice they offered me something reasonable. The unbearable micromanaging and terrible pay had me sprinting for the exit door at this company.

Our salaries are competitive and the average annual increases in salary are 2 to 3 times the national average. When people build their careers with us, they experience many raises in their salary and continue to have a competitive salary as they advance their skillsets. We believe in a strong work/life balance and we aim to set reasonable goals for our employees. As our company is growing and our client base is growing, we are actively hiring to ease the workload for all of our teams. Great People, Flawed Onboarding and Training

Pros

Everybody there wants to help, and will drop what they are doing to provide assistance. The company cares about their employees and wants them to succeed.

Cons

There is very little documentation or training. Projects are handed off with very little guidance or planning. Basic things are not documented or available for after-hours reference. You have to bother people constantly to find what you need or to get answers to basic questions. They really need to spend more time training their employees, and provide them with the resources they need. The stress and constant feeling of failure was awful. I have never experienced anything like it. I knew immediately it was unsustainable. Apparently their turn-over rate is high because of that. The employees acknowledge that things need to change, but nobody has time to do it right.

Pros

Co-works were nice and genuinely tried to help each other out.

Cons

Management has no idea what they’re doing. The marketing department’s turnover rate is insane from both people leaving and people being fired. You won’t learn much because the managers don’t know what they’re doing so good luck figuring out what you’re supposed to me doing. Also, don’t believe the positive reviews you see on here. The majority are in fact fake. As you’ll see, they are all written in close proximity to each other and very vague.

I am glad that you enjoyed working with your co-workers. I am sorry you had a bad experience with your manager. That was not my goal. Your experience does not align with what we believe and want our culture to be at Miles Technologies. We place great emphasis on the manager's relationship with their direct reports. As part of this, we provide ongoing management and leadership training. We encourage our managers and staff to communicate openly and honestly so that we can work together to make sure we are all feel good about the work we do every day and continue to work towards accomplishing our goals.
