      Flexibility in shifts and leaves

      Low pay, heavy workload, expected to have a skillset beyond the given role with zero training. Higher tier coworkers will be rude to you and condescending when they realize you don't know something. There will be no training if you are a beginner. For experienced Tier 2 you will be expected to have knowledge of everything and fulfill the role of a system administrator, Network administrator and everything possibly you can imagine and your salary will be not at par.

As a growing MSP we do have a busy work environment and as we grow we are also actively hiring to expand our staff and help to ease the workload for all. We have found that "Tiers" in the industry don't necessarily align with our job titles, which is why we prefer Support Consultant and Support Specialist. The salary offers almost always are at or above what a candidate entered as the desired salary. The average salary increase per year is more than double the average salary increase nationwide. We believe in Career Development for all of our employees and we aim to foster a supportive environment among coworkers. If you feel you could benefit from additional support and training, please bring this up with your manager during your one-on-one meeting. We know how important it is to have great managers. Our belief is that managers are coaches who help you accelerate your career path. This is why we have a program for both selecting & developing new managers.       People are awesome, friendly and knowledgable

      Cons

      Management is tight knit. All of the managers are close friends of Chris Miles. They are lifers and if you don’t get along with them you usually won’t be there for long. Also, don’t expect much in the way of an extensive career ladder to climb and once you hit your max position, your pay might not be where you’d like it. In times of financial issues, you’re expendable, but management will remain.

      This is not as good as it seems.

      Free food (until it ran out...) Toys and games (so they'd keep you there later.)

      Cons

      Horrible management, toxic culture, no room to advance or grow. Pay was genuinely insulting for the work done. Some people got away with things openly while others were too swiftly punished.

      This experience does not align with what we believe and want our culture to be at Miles Technologies. When people build their career with us they experience many jumps in their salary and continue to have a competitive salary as they advance their skill sets. Even though your employment with us ended, I hope that you look back on the positive experiences. I appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback, there are times that we know that an employee’s future would be brighter pursuing another opportunity, rather than continuing employment. Knowing this does not make the decision easier and we have to be empathetic while sharing that we believe the decision is the right direction for the staff member’s future.
