Toxic Culture, lack of accountability and strategy

Pros

The institute does hire some wonderful people who are eager to work hard and move projects forward however they often are unable to due to an unorganized leadership structure that does not care about programs or work being accomplished

Cons

Toxic culture, dismissal of other ideas, lack of leadership, lack of strategy, dismissal of ideas and thoughts, lack of interest in new ideas, lack of personal development or people management, overall dismissal of facts/science, lack of communication, lack of diversity, no understanding of inclusion/justice/progressive ideas. Leadership truly cares about three events a year and chasing money from sponsors and little else including the employees, science/facts or project work.

Please read 'resurrection of Michael Milken' in Amemrican Prospect

Pros

Reasonable retirement place for seniors who no longer care about the stigma of working for the junk bond King.

Cons

If your read the article 'resurrection of Michael Milken' in Amemrican Prospect online, you will understand what the Institute is all about, how creditable its 'research' could be, and why all the reputable researchers are no longer there. (All the'fellows' are people who have already left!) Working for one of the wealthest man does not mean you can learn from him and become wealthy as he is--instead, you may not even meet him at all. Working for someone who has a strong network does not mean you can benefit from that network, or you can build a similar network---instead, you could just be busy making slides for others all the time.

Pros

Decent benefits and salary, have media and event planners to help organize events and publications.

Cons

Group culture wanted very specific way for person to act and behave, did not allow time to adjust to work culture instead dismissed if not immediate fit rather than offering opportunity to learn and grow into position
