- Certainly not true across the board, but pay can be well below market, especially when you factor in the amount of time you are actually working due to understaffing, insane deadlines, poor management, etc. - Unless you are upper management within a department or a very successful SPM, you are just a number to this firm. Turnover is extremely high, and they seemingly tend to hire more senior people rather than promoting from within. The mindset is clearly “there are better people for this job out there and they’d kill to be here because we’re Millennium.” But that mindset only gets you so far, because it doesn’t inspire any loyalty or sense of identity or community. Employees care about more than just brand name. - A lot of bureaucracy and poor communication from management, both firm wise and departmentally. - The switch from hybrid to essentially full-time in the office was mishandled. Certain departments were unceremoniously and unofficially informed of the imminent (effective next week) change through the manager grapevine right before the holidays (couldn’t have waited until January?), and the change was communicated as if it was firm-wide (or at least consistent across core infra departments). Later, you find out it’s only certain departments and no explanation is given for the sudden switch. I hear they may have walked this back a bit to one day WFH with extensive stipulations. If the concern is certain employees not working, why not use the extensive surveillance done on employees to focus on those employees? This felt like unnecessary micromanagement and frankly insulting given the timing. - Unnecessarily long non-compete
