Pros

Millennium is fast paced, interesting and challenging. The organization is doing fairly well for how quickly it has grown. The people are ultimately good, respectful to each other. Ultimately the fund is good at what it does, and people feel a sense of pride working here.

Cons

The pace can be insane. The number of products. strategies and trading teams, is very hard to scale with the minimal size of core technology teams. This is not technology company, they still see technology as a cost center. The constant context switching takes its toll.

Pros

competitive payouts, lots of resources. non-political environment. very much a meritocracy. good reputation on the street so all your calls get answered.

Cons

you will be let go if you no longer add value to the team. this is true of any company but an especially brutal truth at MIllennium. There is no such thing as team building or such things.
