Flat corporate structure wherein entry-level employees frequently work with principals Generous compensation complete with outstanding bonus structure and profit sharing Extremely challenging work that enables incredible growth for all employees Provides employees with the opportunity to guide one's own career direction Independently owned practices facilitates entrepreneurial spirit, centralized "ownership" in Seattle provides unity and encourages collaboration Well-respected throughout the industry (deservedly so)

Busy spring season with long working hours (healthcare) - Note the bonus structure compensates for these long hours Practice is growing rapidly, making it difficult for some new hires to find consistent sources of work

Pros

The pay (both salary and bonus) is very good as long as you are making your billable hours goal. The work is intellectually challenging and there is a nice variety of projects.

Cons

The work/life balance is basically non-existent. There is a heavy emphasis on making billable hours goals. If you are an actuarial student, you can pretty much write off much of your personal life.
