Pros

- Incredible new office space, a real investment in the workforce and resources - Fruit, breakfast materials provided daily - Frequent socials - Business is growing and has a strong presence in the market with some huge potential

Cons

- As we've scaled, certain departments seem to have turned into a toxic negative culture - Corporate feel - MC is growing but that doesn't mean we have to lose what made us successful to begin with - Too much to do, too little time. There's fast paced and then there's Mimecast!! - Individuals in HR are disingenuous, supremist in their nature and borderline rude appearing busy when in reality they are never present. One advocated mental health a while back (albeit as a one off never to be spoken of again...tick box exercise?) which is very ironic given their own lack of empathy towards people. Very surprised they are still there. - More and more US centric, decisions aren't communicated until they are implemented, with no margin for consultation or compromise regionally whether things work or not

Going downhill

Pros

Nice amenities, free lunch 4 days a week

Cons

The company’s gone downhill over the past year or two. Management is young and have no idea what they’re doing. There’s no guidance whatsoever and they expect you to create your own career path with no promise of helping you get there. On top of that, there’s no career structure (unless you’re in the BDR or sales teams). HR has been talking about creating a ladder for almost a year and we have yet to see anything in the works. Promotions happen by chance and not by performance, which only makes sense when there’s no way to even measure how well employees are doing. To make things worse, compensation is way below the market rate in the greater Boston area. And above all, you’re either the person who does the work or the person who gets to present it. So don’t be fooled by the nice amenities, the grass is indeed greener on the other side.
