Pros

Turned out to be a dead end job located in a bad area

Cons

There really isn't room for advancing. No tuition reimbursement. And they do not have their employees back. I was in the hospital for 6 days . My manger called while I was sick. Didn't ask me if I was well or anything. He called to tell me that he was gonna demote me because ofy attendance. I was told to bring in medical clearance letter from my doctor upon returning. I did that and was told they couldn't except and fired me. Very unprofessional environment. Ghetto as he'll

Pros

You don't have to learn anything new, because even if you do, no one really cares.

Cons

As a software engineer, the code base here is just bad. There are products and projects that have not seen the light of day for years yet still work in mysterious flabbergasting ways that interrupt productivity and progress. You will muck through legacy code from engineers who have long given up on improving the structures here, and that's where you'll stay. Management is completely an old boys club, and it'll stay that way, trust me. They're all into similar things, have similar values, and you won't make it into their little club unless you started with them at this company some 10 years ago. Mimeo was crapped on a few years ago for these reasons and started hiring for diversity. There are conversations about hiring just girls or minorities to have nice numbers, but they won't promote those hires. They're just cheap fodder to have around, some diverse faces. Don't expect promotions. We don't get bonuses. Raises are far and few in between, some barely cover cost of inflation. They have nothing to teach you.
