Pros

i'll list the lipstick in the pros, and the corresponding pig in the cons. 1. the wellness benefits and vacation policy at MINDBODY are generous. 2. the MINDBODY core values are truly inspiring, and the majority of the people i worked with really took the core values to heart and did their best to embody them in their day to day jobs. 3. there are lots of fun, smart and talented people that work at MINDBODY. people who really do want to leverage technology to improve the health and wellness of the world.

Cons

1. the salaries at MINDBODY are for the most part grossly unfair. yes, even for this area. i took a 65% pay cut to work for MINDBODY coming from the bay area, but according to all the cost of living calculators out there, i should have only expected to take a 30% pay cut. it is very hard to make a decent living in the SLO area on a MINDBODY salary if your single, and nearly impossible to do so if you are raising a family. 2. upper management routinely defy the core values by misleading employees, lying to them, and being elitist. 3. most of these people cycle through and leave, because they feel under-appreciated, or cannot navigate the internal politics of getting a promotion (see #2).

Thank you for your review! It's very rewarding to hear about your positive experiences with our benefits, core values, and ultimately, the team that you worked with. We're proud of our team and all that is accomplished here on a daily basis. You've brought up some deep concerns, and I'd like to speak to those as best as I can without knowing the full details of your circumstances. I am sorry for the experience that you've described, as this is not experience that we want for our team members. Compensation here can differ from that of the Bay Area and other larger population areas, but market research and evaluations are conducted to ensure that our team is well taken care of. The percentage cut that you described is extremely high, and not a situation that we'd want for anyone on our team. In our recruitment process, we make certain that candidates are given every opportunity to communicate their wage requirements and assess for fit. I hope that in any future position, your salary requirements are met or exceeded. While we have experienced growth and changes over the past year, our core values are always going to be part of who we are and how we work. Striving for constant improvement, as well as providing opportunities for team member growth will always be a part of our environment. I hope all the best for you and your future endeavors!

Cons

Where to begin. It is hard for me to write a bad review as this is the first time I have done so. However, I hope that no one makes the same mistake I did by accepting a job with this company. I will leave this with a few things I witnessed during my employment. Things seen in the office: -Individuals passed out under their desks. -Accusations of others engaging in relations with upper management to advance their career. -Holding a team meeting asking individuals to mediate to help their day. Did not ask for permission or if this would offend others, almost forced. -Showing a clip of mean girls to explain the drama going on in the office. -Unequal pay between men and women. Many of the men who were paid more had less work experience than female individuals who negotiated a hire salary. -Manager was uncomfortable interacting with females- subjective - Office blow ups of sales reps occurred frequently. Individuals often caused scenes when things did not go their way and used extremely inappropriate language. - Manager was not competent enough to realize these incidents were distracting to others and continued to let individuals cause scenes for long periods of time. - Employment decreased from 38 to about 14 during six month period. - CEO never visited the Dallas office during its time of being open. ... I could put MANY more incidents that occurred however I hope this provides insight into the type of company MINDBODY really is.I can say that if you are looking for a career to grow professionally and be fulfilled DO NOT apply at this company.
