Pros

The experience was educational -- mostly in what not to tolerate next time

Was brought into Mindex's CMS program fresh off a consulting gig. Within the first day it was evident that I'd been handed a train wreck and thoroughly lied to in the interview process. The program was already collapsing, the entire team had turned over in the prior six months and the last members were completely burnt out -- the leadership's solution was to hand the mess to someone new and pretend everything was fine. It wasnt. Leadership makes big promises and commitments to clients and staff that were flat out unrealistic, then blame anyone in reach when reality didnt match the fantasy of a successful technical service company. Documentation was outdated or often missing key details, workloads were impossible with priorities constantly shifting, and any attempt to raise concerns was met with denial or spin. After a few weeks of still trying to make a difference despite this, became scapegoated for problems years in the making. This isnt mentioning the small dysfunctional details -- the hyper obsession with time tracking in assuring every hour of the workday is accounted for, the poor client relations with many customers leaving or about to leave, work falling months behind schedule, and genuinely no team members available with technical knowledge to execute on it. If you value honesty, stability, or a fair shot at success -- stay far away. Mindex doesnt need talent -- it needs a team of miracle workers who dont mind taking the fall when leadership delusions come crashing down. Dysfunctional from top to bottom, and zero accountability where it matters.

Quality, down-to-earth leadership that is not afraid to evolve as the industry evolves.

Cons

The SOW side of the business is at the mercy of their majority client Paychex and what Paychex wants, Paychex gets. Every year when Paychex looks at their budget you never know what’s going to happen.
