Pros

You will work with a lot of open-source technologies based on Linux: Openstack, Kubernetes, Ceph, Tungsten Fabric, OVS, Docker, Docker Swarm etc.

Cons

Poor documentation of Mirantis's own product with the product having a lot of open-source components interwoven in a very complex way which causes issues where they should not be. Questionable system architecture: there are hundreds of API calls between different components of virtualisation platform with complicated tracing of the calls. This is not a black box with thoroughly defined programmatic interfaces.
