Little Concern for Employees

Pros

Good pay and benefits compared to other employers in the area. Handful of peers who were supportive and enjoyable to work with.

Cons

Very little support from management. I went to my manager several times for additional support and was denied each time. Very disappointing for a company that says they are dedicated to employee's health and wellness. Managements approach was very punitive and instilled fear in employees as a means of motivation. Felt like a "cog" due to workload and little concern for work/life balance. Communication is poor and one way with very little (meaningful) communication from the top down.

Thank you for your work for over 3 years. I am sorry to hear that your experience was not as positive with your leadership. This it not the type of support or response we expect from our leaders at Mission. If you have more information about your department to share, in order to provide additional education, please contact us at talentacquisition@msj.org. As we strive to be a Great Place to Work and Practice, we have high expectations of our managers and their role to support our teams.

Pros

Excellent care givento there patients

Cons

Business oriented not mission oriented. Have 56 Vice presidents and all associated minions allpaid verywell! The people that actually care for patients are known as worker bees and not considered valuable. If you look at jobs posted and pay you will find nurses arenot valued!

Thanks for the care you provide to your patients and families as a critical care RN and for over a decade! Compensation for our team members, including RNs, is reviewed annually and recently an increase in base pay was given to our bedside RNs! We also increased 3rd shift differentials to be in the top 90+ percentile of hospitals, which is amazing. Please share any feedback and suggestions on StandOut, to leadership, or in community forums that solicit employee feedback. It is with your help that we can continue to be a Great Place to Work and Practice. A recent video showcases all of the great work and improvements for our Nursing teams: http://missionandme.mission-health.org/scope/2018/08/08/nurses-choose-mission-health-video/
