Thanks for your feedback. I assume by the title that you are referring to the recent HCA announcement. Mission Health’s Board of Directors has announced that it is in discussions to join Nashville, Tennessee-based HCA Healthcare, an organization founded by two physicians nearly 50 years ago. This announcement reflects our commitment to ensuring world-class, cost-effective care for the residents of western North Carolina for generations to come. We entered due diligence on March 26 and expect a 90-120 day due diligence period. For more information, visit our site: https://missionhealthforward.org. This site will serve as the source of any updates we may have moving forward. Thanks again for your time to comment, and your committment to patient and our community for the last 3+ years!

Pros

Job security great hours of operation community awareness

Cons

No communication with employees. Management creates/solves fires that do not exist and ignores the real issues. Regularly makes false promises. Terrible pay gaps. Completely understaffed therefore creating overworked employees. Tells us it's a great place to work, but when we say it's not, it is our fault.

Thanks for your feedback and honest perspective. Appreciate your work for Mission to serve our patients and community for over 3 years now. There are multiple means of communication at Mission, primarily being direct cummunications through your leader and through our Scope newsletter. We are also hopeful that weekly communications occur through the StandOut platform. Have you been involved with SuperCommunicators or any employee councils to get your voice heard? We do have a culture of growing from within, so if there is anyone interested in new career opportunities within Mission, we encourage them to reach out to the Career Exploration Center. Meanwhile, if you have other questions or concerns, please contact HR Direct Connect at: 828.213.5600. Again, thanks for taking the time to provide feedback!

Pros

I absolutely love the people I work with. Teamwork is strong. Family oriented environment. We have a wonderful Manager and director. The door is always open to vent, cry, laugh, or whatever (chocolate too).

Cons

Nurses have to wear white tops. I know in the old days that was done, and I don’t know how they did it. I’m forever getting stuff on me, and spend a lot of money on tops. Plus I also have to do 2 different loads to wash work cloths.

Thanks for your time to comment, and I love the Pros you have listed! Very much the culture we want to encourage. Thanks for your positivity and the advice. Not sure about the white tops (sorry, you must be using a lot of bleach!) but appreciate your responses and enthusiasm for your team and Mission.
