Pros

People, Autonomy, Benefits, PTO, Equipment

Cons

Leadership says one thing and does another, "we care about our people" translates to "let's talk planning for the second half the year...we don't have any money everyone on this call is laid off or everyone who is laid off will receive an email stating such in their personal email within the next 15 mins."

Mission Lane Response

The decision to eliminate some positions was a very painful one – and one that we did not take lightly. After many hours of discussion and debate with our board and investors, we decided that it was the best way to position the company for a strong future, given the current economic environment. We thank every employee – past and present – for their contributions to Mission Lane over the years and have offered benefits including a severance offer with compensation, benefits coverage through the length of their severance period, prorated individual incentive, and assistance in equity vesting or exercise schedules, dependent on tenure to anyone impacted by this decision. Please reach out to me directly (julie.shudtz@missionlane.com) if you have any questions about how to access these benefits.

Pros

I loved my role and team for the first six months

Cons

After that initial honeymoon phase, the writing on the wall was pretty clear. This company is incapable to outlining measurable, strategic outcomes. Additionally, they are equally incapable of holding anyone accountable to those outcomes. You will experience different verticals and teams fighting for prioritization. You will experience and witness favoritism to the most tenured men (who have rich histories of treating women poorly and HR/leadership doing nothing about it). You will fall for the all hands stories about the mission, but after a deeper look, will realize that the underwriting models are not mission aligned.

Pros

The work culture is incredible!!!! All the jobs I’ve ever worked came with super toxic workplace environments and or terrible management relationships. At mission lane everyone from recruiting all the way to leadership is amazing!!!! Everyone has a hands on team approach and nobody is left behind. People are super willing to help you catch up or address any concerns you may have. Training is phenomenal and very well structured. Everyone is just so helpful and it’s a very fun and inclusive work culture. They truly care about their employees and it shows. The growth opportunities are huge. So many people in my leadership started where I was and are now in leadership positions 6months to three years from when they started.

Cons

I can’t think of any cons whatsoever. Everything has been amazing so far.
