Management is terrible, no opportunity for advancement, technology is over a decade behind industry, commute is long and boring, bad culture of finger pointing and blame.

4/10 schedule High pay for those able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Government contract for national security means near guarantee of longevity.

Cons

Long commute. My department uses nefarious tactics to skirt policy and the law. Low confidence in truly safe radiation levels in working environment (high rates of chronic respiratory and cancer) Nevada has terrible worker protection rights.
