Pros

Coworkers are good hard working people who bring their best every day. They were the only thing that made the place tolerable.

Cons

Finance department is understaffed and overworked. Hours/expectations are unreasonable. No respect for work life balance. Morale is very low. Turnover is extremely high. Very little opportunity for advancement. Japanese management does not recognize American holidays so mandatory work if holiday falls during month end (i.e. fourth of July). Onboarding was very poorly handled. Management seems more concerned about KPIs than actually managing the business.

Easy work - if you find that a pro Work independently - no micro-managing Multiple people in the same dept can take vacation days at the same time (not good for customers / but great for employees) Many paid holidays, more than most companies

Cons

No good deed goes unpunished No room for growth for women No training program Management very secretive for no reason Not enough work - bored most of the day Uninspiring job Management follows Japanese culture in the U.S.A. although Japanese culture would be considered extremely rude in the U.S.A. - this is difficult to adapt to

Pros

salary is ok, good benefits, definitely a quiet place to work, coworkers are pleasant

Cons

There is no chance for American employees or females to advance all management positions are filled by Japanese floating staff. Their expectations for new employees are unfair as the training procedure is basically learn on your own with a few hints here and there. Basically everyone does their work and very minimal interaction with each other. Low employee morale need recognition for a job well done.
