Pros

Benefits are good - free lunch, parking, occasional moderna gear, performance/anual bonuses, additional bonuses based on how well the company is doing, and celebrations. it's a place where you can grow as a recent college grad.

Cons

some teams expect you to work 40+ hours and if you don't, they make you feel bad. Management themselves work 50-70hrs a week. Unreal expectations, toxic work environment, no clear communication between groups, lack of collaboration, horrible management (unless you're lucky), executives expect you to do anything/everything you can just so they can release products on time to meet their bonuses. Don't get me wrong, it was fun for a while until they started hiring random people who don't fit into the culture or know what they are doing which ultimately hinders the culture/employees. HR talent acquisition team is the worst - will literally BLOCK you from switching departments to further your career, its either stay in your current position or leave the company as a whole.

Pros

Great/low cost benefits - namely health insurance Pay is generally competitive, average in this market Exciting work, company has great potential Some groups are genuinely great to work with

Cons

Zero boundaries Work/life balance is constantly discussed and emphasized but quickly surpassed by the new project or priority of the week High performers end up picking up the slack of poor quality and/or remote new hires Roles are often backfilled by candidates lacking the experience or skills needed to succeed Some areas of the organization are plagued with ineffective people managers Human Resources is utterly incompetent when it comes to the basics

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am sorry to hear that your experience was not as positive towards the end. Few things are more important to our leadership as ensuring we retain a strong, supportive culture. With such rapid growth, we regularly seek out feedback from our employees and implement innovative enhancements to our programs. We’ve launched quite a few new initiatives this year with several more planned for the second half of 2022. We appreciate your feedback and wish you all the best in your journey. Thank you! Pros

Compensation was fair, great benefits and office.

Cons

There’s absolutely no growth here, and pointless side projects seem to be handed out just to keep people busy. Leaders and managers don’t communicate goals, so you’re left in the dark about where things are headed. Coding standards don’t exist, and engineering quality is embarrassingly low. The culture is toxic. Teammates talk trash about each other, and there’s no real collaboration or respect. The work you’re given might be "important" to the company, but it’s repetitive and lacks any real impact. You have no say in what areas you want to grow in, and it feels like you're stuck. For a company that prides itself on being a top diversity hire, actual diversity is non-existent in certain teams, leading to an exclusive, cliquish atmosphere. It seems like people are more focused on trying to become the boss’s favorite than actually doing meaningful work. Instead, they over-engineer and create useless features just to show they’re doing something and look good in front of leadership. (Granted, some people are genuinely nice).
