Cons

I was subjected to illegal and unethical behavior by more than one employee. The employees were never charged and remain employed to my understanding. I was laid off.

Pros

Benefits are still decent and for some people, they’re paid above market value. Not true for everyone.

Cons

Promotions are highly political and it depends on your manager. If they aren’t “in” with upper management you can basically forget about it. I’ve seen many deserving people passed over and other people move up the ranks and you wonder HOW! Also EC all giving themselves promotions while they lay off significant number of people was a kick in the shins.

Company has great benefits that employees refer to as the golden handcuffs.

Cons

Even though we're now in the endemic state of Covid, Moderna is making awful decisions and will likely lose the ability to be successful due to the executive leadership team. Never been in such a cut throat culture that starts with the CHRO who fires whoever she wishes and could care less about the culture of the company. In group settings, she comes across as compassionate and a strong leader, but stay out of her way when it's behind closed doors.
