Pros

Nice workspace, team setting, free lunches. Fast-paced environment.

Cons

This place is a glorified call center. You speak on the phone with angry doctors and nurse practitioners all day. After each call, you have about a minute to look over your case notes or resolve the customer's issue or whatever you need to do before the next call comes in. And you have to take a minimum amount of calls (around 30) per day. You will be constantly multitasking, which is good if you like to keep busy, but it is an extremely fast pace. You also have very little autonomy here. Management's approval is needed for everything. The pay is minimum wage. Management likes remind you of how lucky you are to work there, and will constantly brag about how nice their amenities are (relaxation room, treadmills, catered lunches, snacks--keep it, I'd rather be paid more). This was a huge red flag for me. Their EHR is very complex and training is almost zero. You will have a couple of days of onboarding then you start taking calls. And for the first few months you will not have enough familiarity with EMA to solve most issues by yourself, so you have to ask literally everyone around you for help on every call you take. Only work there if you need work ASAP, then find a better job and leave.

Pros

Modernizing Medicine is everything you always wanted to build in a culture. It's authentic and comes from the fact that each and every person that joins the team is both a consumer of the culture and a contributor to it. It's balanced. Fun balanced with serious meaningful work. Sprints of hard work that challenges teams balanced by periods of time for innovation, problem-solving, and self-growth. Mostly, what I like about it is that it has the feel of a start-up: the urgency and sense of purpose and drive that matters.

Cons

Doing anything in healthcare is a challenge. The industry is highly regulated and even though they are a software company, they have to be mindful of government overwatch.

Pros

Great team structure in my department. I feel like my Manager has my back at all times and I can always count on my coworkers for help if I have questions. Great benefits included. Also get catered meals at the boca campus twice a week and breakfast on fridays. Working treadmills and zen room are cool too! Best job I've ever had. Amazing people and culture.

Cons

I love my job but it is answering suuport questions all day. Which is totally fine because it's what I signed up for. I guess the calls can be a little difficult at times because some clients might not be the nicest. But as long as you keep a positive attitude, the job is great. Managers and colleagues definitely help if there is an issue.
