Culture starts at the very top, and Modus's 2 founders "get it." It isn't easy to work at Modus because we're supporting clients and doing groundbreaking work every day, but the atmosphere is 100% supportive and collaborative. Everybody here understands that this is the only way to achieve world-class results. After years of struggling through criticism and wondering if I'm actually good at my job, Modus has given me confidence and allowed me to contribute to my full potential.
Cons
As is true for all consulting firms, working with clients is hard. We don't have control over the processes and decisions that are made at the client company, we can only consult. Sometimes the client will make the big changes we suggest, but sometimes we have to support them within the constraints of their business. The great thing about Modus is that you have a world-class support system, almost an "us against the world" mentality - not in a bitter way, but in a way that breeds a real camaraderie.
