Toxic Coworkers

Pros

Not everyone is toxic. Most people are really nice and will at least talk to you like you're a friend. The health benefits are good and the hours are from 5:30 AM to 2:00 pm or 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm. If you had a choice between first or second shift, choose second shift because they're the hardest working set of individuals I've had the pleasure of working with.

Cons

Specific managers will yell and intimidate employees into moving faster even when people are already working their butts off. coworkers that I would talk to daily would also talk behind my back to managers and other employees to blame second shift for things they could have fixed with no issue. First shift has a worse work ethic and will gossip all day with no consequences, leaving second shift to pick up the slack for them and still get blamed for mistakes that first shift made. also pay raises are only attainable by changing job responsibilities. there is no chance to get a decent raise just by doing your job to the best of your ability.

Pros

I worked for Molex for more than 30 years, and I enjoyed the majority of my time there. The best years were the years that the Krehbiel family controlled the company. We all worked very hard and were rewarded appropriately for the work we did. It was very satisfying to help the company grow. Molex gave me the opportunity to learn much while earning a good living.

Cons

Once The Krehbiel family sold the company to Koch Industries, everything slowly changed. The Krehbiels treated their employees like family. Koch, not so much. I am extremely thankful that I had the privilege of spending the majority of my career working under Krehbiel leadership. Today, Molex is still a good company, but it is definitely a different company.

Pros

Great people Great resources/investment from upper management Solid pay

Cons

Molex has accumulated tons of technical debt over the last couple of decades and is in a cycle of trying to do too much at once. Everybody is stretched thin, and projects often run late and there is a scramble to fix everything at once. No annual bonus or raise. They do "spot bonuses" and raises which are really just based on the disposition of your manager. It can be a good thing, but more often I think it is a negative
