      Pros

      Good people to work with. Has a name/history in industry

      Cons

      Average pay compared to primary competitors. Work/life balance is nonexistent. Lack of consistency and leadership from mngt. Too reactive instead of developing a longterm strategy. Lots of gossiping, even at manager level and opening discussing politics/political opinions in meetings.

      Pros

      The educational opportunities online were excellent. The campus in Lisle is a nice place to work. Excellent benefits, even for a big company.

      Cons

      Market Based Management describes the guiding principles here...but even the director I worked for said that was “all PR and virtually never a factor”...and he was spot on. A lot of stop...change direction...hurry up...stop again in my group. A definite paucity of vision and strategy. Colleagues who ran afoul of HR had a bad time. The group that supposedly protects employees from retribution uses retribution freely and openly.
