Pros

Good pay and benefits, great place to meet people and lots of diversity. When I first started there, they had many extra perks for going above and beyond like give cards and a share of the profits but, by the 2nd year, management decided that all that was required was a colored piece of paper with a Dr. Cleo print. I mean, it's kind of degrading giving a grown adult often with children and a morgage the equivalent of a good star.

Cons

The incompetent and two faced management. So many of them are simply twits. You ask them a pertainent question and they either will give you some flipant answer to get you off their backs or tell you to look in the guidebook. That's not very effecient when you've got an angry provider on the phone saying they already left messages with the supervisor and have gotten no calls back.

Pros

A lot of the people here genuinely want to help and do a good job.

Cons

Those who are in charge have no idea what actually needs to be done. There is much lip service to being supportive of staff and community but the real mission is acquisition at any cost. Politics are a major obstacle toward accomplishing anything. Disrespect is never checked nor addressed. Leaders look the other way when employees are bullied and/or experience a hostile work environment. No room for advancement. Constant reshuffling of organization. Salaries are low compared to competition.

Pros

Pros? I’m trying to think of at least one.

Cons

I’m curious to know the process when hiring leadership in the Kentucky market. What qualities is Molina looking for in a candidate when they recruit for leadership positions? It’s hard to comprehend why a company would entrust a “Director” for cost containment without the necessary leadership skills needed to run this specific department. When leadership lacks leadership skills when trying to lead a team, they begin to micromanage their team. Leadership begins to create issues that don’t exist, so that they can feel justification in that role. This usually happens when someone gifts someone a position because of familiarity. When will companies learn that being a leader does not consist of micromanaging. I just want to be very transparent and direct with my message. I do believe sitting on calls at 8:00am, for 6-8 hours a day is counterproductive. In addition, I’m assuming everyone is an adult in the department and doesn’t need to be asked what I’m working on repeatedly.
