A life changing opportunity where you get out what you put in!
Pros
Working at MongoDB is everything you would (and should) expect from an industry-disrupting, high growth software 'unicorn’; exceptional leadership (and therefore GTM strategy), a talented internal ecosystem whose primary goal is to help you be successful, a great mix of greenfield and established accounts to go after and a fast pace of execution/evolution. (It goes without saying the tech is second to none - the numbers speak for themselves). Crucially, and unlike other tech companies, the leadership team are accessible and invested in your development - mentorship, coaching, regular off-sites etc. In my experience MongoDB is a meritocracy and has been supportive when I've had to be with family during difficult times, and to start my own. It's been a life-changing opportunity personally, professionally and financially (top achievers are earning £400k-£500k+) - overall a good place to take your career to the next level.
Cons
It's a mature ecosystem and professional environment - no one's going to do your job for you and you need to have a solid plan to make the most of your territory and manage resources. There is a massive focus on Diversity & Inclusion globally, but the UK is behind. Great to see some of the recent changes and investments in this area but still not where we should be.
