Far too much micromanagement Lack of leadership and chain of command Many issues would be brought up to management and ignored Shifts were random and not consistent, they did not care about personal life issues

Pros

wonderful place in a beautiful location. Stable income from a reputable employer. Clean, friendly workspace. Competitive salaries, higher than competitors. Spence of pride working for this company. Very low turnover.

Cons

The only downside for me is the travel time. State college is a very expensive place to live so living outside the city causes me to have a 45 minute commute. (Still not bad).

Pros

Some good doctors and nurses. Still enough people in the organization that care to turn this company around. A newer building contracted in 1971 with good growth. Located next to Penn State University, a good partner for medical research.

Cons

No Leadership from the Executive Team. No one follows policy, it's like anarchy. It's all about hitting your goals to receive you bonus and no longer about patient care. Poor or no planning. Poor or no communication. Current CEO has eliminated good people and replaced them with people who only are concerned about their personal gain. Computer system has crashed 3 times under the current CIO. Never was there an issue with the previous CIO.
