      It used to be a great place to work until last year.

      Cons

      Current management decided to outsource many departments to save money... Employees are in fear of losing their jobs....

      Pros

      Dedicated coworkers and wonderful patients are the only things that make it worthwhile.

      Cons

      Management will look for reasons to get rid of you, if you earn too much money. They only care about the bottom line. They really don't care about staff & work -life balance. Patient safety & satisfaction aren't too priority. Don't be fooled! The CEO is cutting budgets so tightly, that longterm, higher paid employees are losing their jobs. He won't consider reducing his multi million dollar salary.

      Some of the employees are great

      Cons

      The supervisor was just awful. She never took the time to get to know any of her employees unless they worked first shift. She gave preferential treatment, and even covered for employees that broke the rules, yet others she went after for the littlest thing. Everyone not on first shift were very unhappy, and luckily got out.

      A bad boss can certainly make for a bad work experience. MultiCare is investing heavily in developing our managers (supervisors and above) to ensure they have the skills needed to be effective leaders. We are also holding leaders accountable for living our values, including collaboration and kindness. When issues persist, we are working to move poor performers out of the organization. Of course, if we aren't aware of an issue, we cannot address it. We encourage employees to reach out to our Human Resources group through the Employee Resource Center with questions or concerns.
