This is a union position. Hard work and good merit won’t get you much of anything but an atta boy. And the Union itself is awful. They pester you to participate in their functions but hardly ever respond when you have something to talk about. And they’re terrible negotiators. Last year we received a 1% increase in our wages - less than is necessary to even compensate for inflation.

Still getting used to working on holidays, but MultiCare has generous paid time off accruals and compensation is competitive. I came from government where holidays were off.
