Company is far too conservative in hiring. It took them 8 weeks to hire me and I was considered on of the faster hires. Company doesn't hire until they needed people 6 month prior. This causes sales people to have to be very involved in the operational nature of the business. This causes the sales force to have to remove themselves from the primary focus of their job (and what they are measured on in performance reviews) to do something that hurts their pocketbook (by not allowing them the opportunity to get more commission). Company caps commission on hurricane and other cat work. Many times you are gone from your family for up to a month or more making salary + per diem ($35 per day) + a max of $6,000 even if you sell in excess of $1,000,000.00.
