Pros
You would get a nice raise every few months for the first 2 years. About 4-5 in total. On the dock you made good friends and the individual work load was mostly on you and how good of a worker you were. Huge team environment.
Cons
The work load can sometimes become extremely heavy. There was months of mandatory overtime every single day it really started to get to all of us as we never truly felt appreciated for what we were accomplishing. The entire workload falls on the dock at the end of the night and it was very frustrating watching the entire warehouse and even management go home on time on a Friday and you knew you were going to be there for an extra 2-3-4 hours overtime. The managers would get incredible bonuses while us on the dock only got 50 dollars. It felt ridiculous knowing the managers were always in their office hanging out and laughing getting fat bonuses while the dock had to stay overtime working 10-12 hours everyday for weeks and weeks and months on end just to only make as much as someone who was stocking.
