Pros

-great pay (for Rexburg), especially if you're bilingual -relaxed environment: no dress code, you can do homework between calls -free food -fun people to work with -good training, job is not particularly difficult In Rexburg, jobs are scarce, and most just pay minimum wage. I was super anti-call centers when I was looking for a job, but a friend told me about Navex. It's definitely not your average call center. Calls are inbound, and you're just taking reports from callers about problems they have at work. You can do pretty much whatever you want between calls, and it's super laid back. For a college kid trying to get some extra cash, it's a great place to work.

Cons

-the job can get monotonous at times

Pros

Healthy Snacks Flexible Hours Senior Management Great for fresh graduates just starting out, company is really open to hiring “fresh talent”

Cons

Pay, Pay, Pay - It is not competitive Medical benefits (They are trying to make this better but it’s still pretty bad) Getting promoted internally is not ideal - company puts a 10% increase cap on your salary. Anything more has to be approved and it’s almost always declined. Company is more interested in keeping the private equity firm happy with ROI than paying their employees proper. Politics within departments, working cross department can be extremely difficult due to some of the immediate management in the company. Due to low pay, people often take all the free snacks home with them just so they have something to eat. Many can not afford decent food on what is paid.

I really appreciate your candor here. Would you be willing to visit with me in person? I would like to better understand some of the examples you mentioned and learn what you feel we can do to be more transparent with some of our efforts related to things like pay and benefits. I hope to hear from you - thank you for being wiling to voice your thoughts. Best, Cindy Raz SVP, HR & OD

UK office going downhill

Pros

Great fellow employees Exceptional Services director.(though I heard that he's retired now) Very friendly atmosphere Brand new office Lots of great customers to work with.

Cons

When I left, the turnover of the UK office had exceeded 50% in the previous 12 months. Very American-centric, which means that some of the processes won't work in an international culture. The benefits are the minimum legal requirements in the UK, and it takes ages to get them (though this had improved when I left) Salaries are way below market rates for London, and raises are slightly below inflation, so you'll end up worse off financially than when you joined. No bonuses in the team I was in. Outside of sales, don't hope for good commission on upsells or cross sells. All the development is driven by processes, with strict SLAs that the development teams adhere to the letter. Hopeless in case of exceptional situations. Some teams are completely overworked, and people quit on a weekly basis so all the time and effort spent in training the new hires is quickly lost, etc Don't expect a good raise if you are internally promoted. Location is ideal if you love looking at the traffic on the M4 :-)

Dear Former NAVEX Global Team Member, Thank you for being willing to candidly share your experience. I agree that our fellow colleagues are awesome, and our customers are outstanding! It is true our UK location experienced a higher rate of turn for people in 2018 than we would like to see for any location. This rate of turn was also significantly influenced by the relocation to our new office space, which we anticipated would benefit some people and regretfully impact others in terms of their commute. Moving locations is always a tough business decision given the impact locations have for people. You are also correct that we need to do more to be less US centric and we have seen significant progress on this front over the past year. Based on input people provided in our annual engagement survey in Q1 2019, our team members in Europe scored an 82% rate of favorability. You may also appreciate knowing in regard to the question related to whether people like our culture, 94% of our European team members said yes, the second highest of all locations. I share this not to dismiss the reality you felt while you were with our team, but rather to ensure you know we are making progress and will always work hard to create the best possible experience for people. I sincerely hope you have secured a new role that you feel better aligns with what you are seeking. Thank you again for being willing to ensure we are aware of your specific experience with NAVEX Global. Best, Cindy Raz SVP, HR & OD
