Pros

Nice office space, enjoyable people who care about doing the right thing. Flexible time off. Superb community outreach and volunteer team. Terrific products, the roadmap is encouraging.

Cons

-Pay is significantly below the market value for each role. -Hypocritical Upper Management: preaches that they care about employees and want to maintain and grow internal talent. Yet, when the rubber meets the road they literally do nothing to back up their claims. They stifle raises, do not promote from within and care little about keeping employees around. All they care about is reducing expenses, and cutting salary overhead. Definitely do not believe any of the 'encouraging' reviews when it comes to pay and benefits. -Out of touch CEO. Talks the talk daily about being a great culture, yet seems to do everything he can to contradict that talk. -No accountability for Executives behavior. Time and time again employees share that they have experienced harassment, bullying and sometimes retaliation from leadership. And time and time again reports are made and no action is taken. Our leaders are not abiding by the message and values that the organization is selling. Hypocrisy at its finest. -Lagging culture. There is lots of talk about an improving culture, when in reality its because 60% of the workforce is new, and hasn't experienced the dark underside of the Venture owned company. Leaders think that a free breakfast/lunch will magically cure our culture, when in reality it just reinforces the lack of commitment from the organization to truly improve. There are lousy excuses for holiday parties and employee appreciation events. -"We are EXTREMELY profitable" This phrase has been used to describe the business from multiple high level executives. Rumor has it that our CEO even touted this fact in front of our largest clients at a conference one time (He's truly a GENIUS!). This statement does nothing to help encourage the employees...we know that the business is raking in cash on the backs of our hard work and there is little to no recognition given. There is NO BONUS STRUCTURE! (unless you are a senior leader...then you get paid handsomely) and there is no defined path to career improvement and growth and personal financial growth. PS...our CEO just recommended in a company wide Town Hall, that we all come to GlassDoor and make reviews reflecting our experience at this organization. I am sure he was hoping for lots of positive reviews, I, instead prefer to provide an honest account of the experience.

Great place to work

Pros

Great environment. People here don't just think of Navex as just another place to work, They work hard and are dedicated to their jobs and making the most of it.

Cons

The health benefits are still a high burden on those with pre-existing conditions and could be a potential barrier for those with families. There are ways to overcome those barriers, but upon entry into the company it can be a real challenge at first.

Pros

Smart people, excellent products, excellent service standards and levels of support for customers, aims to do the right thing

Cons

Metrics have taken the place of employee satisfaction and culture which is disappointing for a company that talks so much about the value of culture. This can be attributed to specific managers, but the organization as a whole is ultimately responsible
