Pros

I work with some of the most interesting people I've ever met, and many are truly devoted to our work. I appreciate flexibility in my schedule that has come from the merger.

Cons

I work in the Charlotte office, and we are second-class to the Lake Oswego office. This isn't the fault of VPs or HR. This comes from former EP managers or those put in place immediately after the merger. The mindset seems to be that those people make any decision an "us versus them" situation, instead of working as a team. There is a distinct lack of collaboration and pointed discussions about even small changes. This trickles down to each team and makes those employees who take pride in their jobs not want to fight for the client anymore. We HAVE to get past this "Ethicspoint did it best, no question" mindset if we want to succeed.

I appreciate your feedback, and our executive team has taken notice of your post. It's important that we be able to collaborate, and the rate at which we are growing seems has led to more and more processes to improve our work flow processes; however, your concerns about impromptu communication are important. We are working to improve on this front, and we appreciate you sticking with us!

Great Company.

Pros

The company culture is positive and supportive. The executive team is communicative and transparent about company performance and upcoming changes. The HR team genuinely care about the safety and satisfaction of employees as much as they care about protecting the interests of the company. Compared to many other technology companies, the interdepartmental communication is (mostly) respectful and productive. Work-life balance is easy to achieve and highly encouraged.

Cons

Clear career path is not always presented and compensation and benefits tend to lag behind other similar employers.

I appreciate you taking the time to leave thoughtful feedback. We do have a great team here. I understand your input on where we can improve, and to do so, we have brought on a corporate trainer who will be able to provide more clarity on that point during her sessions. We are working through those opportunities together, so thank you for sticking with us!

Pros

Great concept, ethical software. some really great and smart people. Lots of growth means lots of mostly entry level jobs.

Cons

Working for a fund owned company means never having to share in any profit. give backs are lip service. pay is low for type of company, and with ownership by Vista, all departments are more and more metrics driven. lack of room for creativity unless you can save a few minutes, dollars or both. there feels like an us vs. them theme within - management vs employees. seems like the exec management gets to share in the great success, but the workers don't really. Seems like all management does is focus on short term, and there is always desperation in the monthly meetings - as if the lights will be turned off any moment, which is not true since we are turning in record numbers. Lack of culture of everyone pitching in, it is more of "I don't do that because it is not in my job description". utter reliance on internal case and reporting so you never know where to turn for help on what could be a quick question/answer.

I appreciate your feedback here. We have underwent some massive changes as we implement new programs for long-term success, and every department has certainly felt their share of growing pains through those transitions. In order to improve our culture here, we have started a number of initiatives (NAVEX Global Connect for internal functions, NAVEX Global Outreach for community involvement, NAVEX Global Career Education Outreach for mentoring opportunities, soccer team sponsorship, softball team sponsorship, space team, etc.) to improve our culture internally. There will be facets of each role that we wish was different, like cases and metrics, but where we have opportunities to improve our culture, we are embracing them.
