Pros

There are lots of lovely people that you'll have the opportunity meet and work with. Oregon is a beautiful state. Vacation time is not tracked if you're in full-time position. Decent job for someone brand new to sales.

Cons

While I am grateful for the employment and some of the relationships I gained during my time here, I stayed simply because the job allowed me to have flexibility with my partner's career path. I would not recommend this company to a friend that was in sales. The irony is that NAVEX is an ethics & compliance company but it does not practice what is preaches - this is even a running joke internally. Take one look at the leadership team on the website - all white people, three women. The Sales org has retained leadership that perpetuates the "bro" mentality. If you're a white, straight, Christian male this company won't be so bad, BUT pay and benefits suck. You can easily make 20% more in a different sales org at a TRUE tech company. Be sure to compare with salaries/comp/benefits at other companies before you accept a job here. Moreover, career development is a joke. You can't move up in pay/role unless a role opens up by someone being fired/quitting. There is also no support in looking at other careers at the company outside the sales org. If you're in England, your experience at this company will be MUCH different than I am describing here, but you still have to deal with an elementary product that can't meet the demands of global customers. Lastly, NAVEX is actually aware of some of their problems - in early 2021 there was a mass exodus of some of their highest grossing sales reps - however, the leadership's attempts at "correcting" these are incredibly surface-level. The company is continuing to profit because yes, there is a strong demand for improving E&C in the market today. They've been able to lose talent without drastically impacting their profit so what's the point? They do not even conduct exit interviews. There is no real effort to change until profit actually takes a hit. Proceed with caution if you're looking for an actual career position. Quitting was one of the best days of my life.

Pros

Good suite of products, C-Suite execs are brilliant.

Cons

New sales reps are hired, trained and "benched" to be ready when someone is fired or quits. No trust amongst teams or mgmt, execs play favorites.

Dear Former NAVEX Team Member, I'm sorry you did not have the experience we would have hoped for, particularly as it relates to the lack of trust you called out. Please know I have seen your concern and will discuss with our Chief Sales Officer. Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts - even though you are no longer part of our team, your experience still matters. Best, Cindy Raz SVP, HR and Organizational Development
