Pros

Netgear as a company is well known and delivers great products.

Cons

Internal politics are more important than moving the company forward. The Munich management is not worthy of being called managers. Their monologues about Run-Rate and Quarterly Growth still ring in my head when I think back of them. Which is a shame because from a technical perspective, the products are good

the average salary is higher in comparison with other companies in Italy. If you look for a multinational company where to build a long-lasting career, it' s the right place.

Cons

It's a challenging and very dynamic place.

Pros

- Interesting and Challenging Projects - Some really good engineers to Work with. - If you want to experience how bad and toxic a company can be, this is it. - Almost all the positive reviews are fake. Those are paid reviews and not by actual employees or contractors.

Cons

- Some employees are highly toxic and racists against me because they thought I am Muslim even though I am Sikh from India. This also included the people from upper management. - Even people at EECO and DFEH were appalled. They said they saw these type of incidents only at McDonalds, Walmart etc. or other blue collar job sites. - Whole HR department as well as UX department was involved in it. - It is the worst place I've worked in my entire career and I've worked for 8 different companies. - All the positive reviews are fake and paid reviews. - This is not a place for talent. - Incumbent self-promoting management misrepresent employees just to fire them. - As an Indian/Sikh, I went through constant Anti-Muslim harassment at the hands of several employees and contractors at the behest of the HR and management. - They were using contractors and facilities employees as their foot soldiers to harass me so as to make difficult to be sued. Current California/Federal discrimination laws give more weightage to harassment by the supervisors or managers then to the employees who are your peers or below you. Company has almost negligible liability in case of contractors so that's why they used them to harass me. - All these perpetrators always had Realtime knowledge of all the managerial level decisions. So people in management were providing this information to them directly. Including, the information about my termination. - Notoriously bad and racist upper management. - Totally hostile work environment. - It might be usual scene for some but in my life I have never lived in ghetto or kept any contact with these type of people. Neither I grew up in these type of toxic environment. So, It does affected me negatively and I try to avoid living as well as working in ghettos. - If they have planned so meticulously there strategy to harass someone who they think is "Muslim" then obviously law suits doesn't matter them. Those are part of the plan. They are willing to endure few lawsuits to show it to Muslims or someone who they think is Muslim. - Only thing they try to mitigate was there cost of the law suit by using contractors and facilities people to harass me. They never tried to stop the harassment and only tried to mitigate the cost of the lawsuit. - I never even asked them to fire anyone only for them to stop harassment so that I can better concentrate on my work and not get distracted by all this harassment but after the complaint they become even more aggressive and bold. - They made my life extremely stressful and difficult. - These kind of things can never occur until the management gives free hand to the perpetrators to do whatever they want as long as the victim is Muslim or looks like Muslim. - So, you are already working these long hours sometimes even 14-16 hours and over that you have to prove at every moment that you are not "Muslim". - Lot of people stopped harassment once they realized that I was not Muslim but what would have happened if I was actually Muslim? Would they have physically attacked me like so many anti-Muslim hate crimes happening against browns especially Indians and Sikhs. Some Examples as below: ○ Indian engineer killed, another injured in U.S. hate crime Navy veteran shouted ‘get out of my country’ before opening fire in a bar - February 24, 2017, Kansas Shooting. ○ An African American Iraq War veteran intentionally ran down a family of Indian descent in California thinking they were Muslims, according to police. - April 28, 2019, Sunnyvale, CA. - Obviously, These incidents are not isolated and happened in the spurt of the moment but were well-planned and coordinated. Similarly, Anything could have happened to me at these two companies since they were also emboldening and supporting these racists individuals by not taking any action against them, standing with them including the HR and other employees from the management, hiring the people who were fired for the same behavior earlier and then trying to stick it to me that they re-hired the "the same facilities contractors". - Soon, I will be releasing the full details to the public including the perpetrators involved in the racism and harassment.

Pros

Good learning to improve your skills

Cons

Traditional company with old management. They have too many VPs, Directors and Managers. So they are in high operation cost which now become a problem to the company. You only get promotion if top management likes you, not because you have good performance nor contribution.

Pros

Monday was bagel, donuts and pastries. Also, complimentary sodas, water, teas, Quaker oatmeal. Most of the time I had little to zero supervision so was able to get in, do my work and leave on time at the end of the day.

Cons

Communication with management and higher ups is virtually non-existent. Once went 6 weeks without seeing or speaking to my manager because they never came into the office or had the professionalism to send an email or Skype message to "check in". Really? The CEO attitude at the most recent hands on is "You're either with us or against us." Then he tried to use some football team analogy (related to the 49ers return to success?) and that NETGEAR needs to turn things around in 2020. Getting customers to pay for services and customer service is not a successful business model. I tried to explain this in meetings and to my manager how much customers hated NETGEAR and were going to competitor's such as Ubiquiti, Google and Asus. Also, people above you do not want to collaborate or even talk to you. View subordinates as peons who they would gladly wipe off the bottom of their shoe. DO NOT WORK HERE! People are cliquish and if you aren't buddies with management you will not get a raise or be offered a permanent position.... EVER! Also, for a Silicon Valley company they underpay and management claims they have no budget to pay more. The company stock has plummeted from $35 in 2019 to around $17. Not good! Also, way too many meetings that are a waste of time.

Pros

-Some of the people are good to work with, especially the sales team in Europe

Cons

Odd culture, people don't socialise very much, extremely hierarchical, poor managers and directors, very old school mentality, inflexible, people are overworked and underpaid, people who have been with the company for a long time are favoured and rewarded ahead of people that are contributing and working hard, outdated office.
