Pros

I like the freedom to get your work done. And the owner of the Company is phenomenal.

Cons

Lack of training, no raises, no chance for advancement, poor management, no consideration of your life or life changes. Not connected with their employees.

Thank you for your feedback. Within the last several years NFM has continued to transform our Training department. We have added a significant number of trainings over the past 18 months and continue to add to our Learning Library all the time. Many of the trainings in our learning library may be self-assigned to allow you to take control of your own learning path. In regard to your thoughts on raises and advancement opportunities: NFM has grown at a record rate over the past several years. This growth allows us the ability to create more positions and more bonus opportunities in the future. If you would like to provide more information on how we can assist in your interactions with management or your work/life balance, please feel free to reach out to Human Resources.

Pros

Great atmosphere and great people. The benefits are good compared to most companies in the area.

Cons

The management is the biggest problem with this company. There is no feedback except negative. I think there is a lot of positive energy at the office however every employee is as valuable as the next one and needs constructive criticism and support from the management to be more productive.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am disheartened to hear about your interaction with your manager. Yet, at the same time, your feedback about the branch (“great atmosphere and positive energy”) is aligned with the culture that NFM Lending strives to accentuate. You are correct (“every employee is as valuable… and needs constructive criticism and support from the management [team] to be more productive.”) With that said, we recently implemented quarterly scorecard reviews for managers to have honest feedback with their team member to ensure that we are facilitating open communication regularly. Again, this is a fairly new program, soon to be released at the branch level, we expect to have candid talks that increase employee engagement and management awareness. Here at NFM Lending, our goal is to continuously enhance the employment experience by listening to our employees’ feedback. Human Resources’ strongly encourages you to reach out to our HR Department for a full account that could bring both parties amicable closure, or you may want to complete an exit interview and share your concerns in detail. We wish you success and hope to hear from you soon.

Pros

NFM is a wonderful place to work. I feel appreciated and supported as an employee and respected and valued for who I am and what I bring to the team. I've been in this business for 10 years and have never been surrounded by such a group of motivated, hard-working, kind and caring people.

Cons

Post-closing issues fall on processors
