Pros

They want you to believe in their culture... culture that is only shared among the small group of individuals who have been working for the same owner for years and for SALES people. Base salaries are good but you have to bleed to earn that dollar!

Cons

That culture they brag about is not reflected on the way management treats their operations staff - but if you are a top producer: they will bend over backwards for your money and by bending I mean rules and would step all over you to meet their goal: bottom line = MONEY so if you dont have work ethics in the Mortgage I Lastly HR has a policy that requires employees to go on hiring sites and makes them give the company high ratings. So don't believe everything that you read on NFM or base your decision when applying for a job on what is said, its just marketing to help them rank the company to be top. Don't even think about complaining to management or HR by exercising your rights. Suck it up, keep grinding and keep your head down because you'll be gone within weeks, they will manage you out even if you are right.

Thank you for taking time to provide us feedback. We are glad to hear you recognize our competitive compensation and hard work ethic. You are correct, we do bend over backwards for our employees to help provide top notch service, however we are a fair lender and do not break or bend rules for anyone. You are right that we brag about or award-winning culture. We have been recognized several years in a row with awards given by reputable employee centric companies who conduct anonymous surveys to all employees company-wide – ensuring the feedback about a company’s culture and work-environment is genuine, consistent and noteworthy. Our Corporate turnover rate is well below industry averages of and we are very proud of our retention. In response to HR having a policy about requiring employees to leave high reviews, that is not accurate; however, we do encourage all employees to post their experience on Glassdoor.com and to be transparent to help provide an authentic preview of working here at NFM Lending. We wish you well in your next endeavor.

Typical Corprate Culture

Pros

There are some great team members, but there are some truly terrible ones as well. To be clear this "Pro" has nothing to do with the company, just happens at random.

Cons

-The only goal is to figure out how to make more money for those at the very top. -Luring people in with the promise of raises and bonuses that don't exist. During my time there I saw job responsibilities more than double for processing employees, meanwhile the three people in charge of the branch took more vacations. While putting on meetings about how well the company was doing, how we were breaking ever goal, they would simultaneously slash or completely remove bonuses. Whenever there is a downturn in the market they immediately result to laying off employees, then placing their work on those that remain. No cuts are ever made at the top. They use Amazon gift cards to bribe their employees, marketing team, and clients/customers to leave good reviews on all sorts of social media, including Glassdoor.

Greetings Former Mortgage Loan Processor: We are saddened to hear that this is your perception of NFM Lending’s Leadership Team. While we have seen a significant downturn in home sales this past year, our Leadership Team has been committed to positioning the company for success, and they have not been excluded from the effects of this current market volatility. Though not the fault of our employees, tough staffing decisions had to be made, however we assure you that we have exhausted all measures before taking these steps as a business necessity. Further the hard work of our remaining employees does not go unnoticed, and the NFM Family Leadership Team has voiced on many occasions how thankful they are to our teammates for stepping up in this difficult market. This includes sharing positive milestones where applicable. Finally, the NFM Family has always encouraged employee feedback through our open door policy, as well as through employee driven review sites such as Glassdoor. Employees may leave reviews as they see fit and are never offered prizes or compensation in return. We encourage you to contact your dedicated Human Resources Generalist to discuss your perspectives so that we may provide closure as you move on to your future endeavors.
