Pros

Paid health and dental for employee and dependents.

Cons

Depends on the portal, but several GMs use conferences to prey on women, sexist culture, favoritism not based on performance, sexual culture with most of the males. Most GMs have a very narcissistic personalities which leads to manipulation and never feeling like your performance is good enough, despite results that say otherwise. Some of the bad leaders have been let go since I left NIC, so I cannot speak to how it is now. They pitch that they are a laid back company and it's the best job, however it's all gimicks- strict culture. I would not work there again.

Pros

If your branch is lead by stand up people then you will have a good experience (small business feel). The benefits are good. If you want to move with a company they highly encourage it and if you do so as a manager I hear they take are of everything. Careful though if you move and aren't a manager (DOM, GM, DOO).

Cons

In my office (a new branch/contract) people were promoted to management because they had kissed up to the right people by because of their managerial experience or ability to lead. My managers looked out for themselves and threw their employees under the bus. They expected you to sacrifice everything but gave nothing in return. One branch varies so much from the others. My experience in one branch was the best job I have had. Then I moved and couldn't get out soon enough. I had a little loyalty to the company and my management who recommended me but that only went so far.
