Pros

NIC has been a great place to work. The company treated employees like actual people and worked with you to change and advance your position.

Cons

Base salaries were lower than industry standards, but compensated for by great benefits. With the acquisition by Tyler, those great benefits went out the window, without enough compensation increase to offset it. Tyler doesn't seem to employ people, just cogs.

Amazing Culture Great Benefits Great Pay Ive never felt more cared for and understood by a company. They are super understanding of any situation, Super open to discussion and input and super flexible with anything you're doing or needing.

Cons

Not terrible con but its work from home. They have a shared office space for meetings and such but not a building with your own desk and setup. Work from home has its perks but has its downsides as well

Govt Contracts mean more limitations, and weekend deploys by default Tech stacks are behind and there is a lot of pushback to modernizing
