Pros

Free soup! Great benefits for employees. Hours are convenient and implementing new schedule system to try and make it easier for days off.

Cons

Having so many locations to find certain documents after they're sent to 1/3 locations after talking to multiple representatives. That's about it.

Pros

Free soup, as always; PTO time, training depending on the department and what direction your career is leading you

Cons

Understaffed, so the PTO time you do have may not even be worth it; extremely micromanaged for a call center

Pros

As 100 something other people have said "free soup, health plan, flexible spend accounts, 401K". If you make it to 25 years you can park closer to the entrance. A full service cafeteria, ATM, classes offered by the institutes, a wellness center with nurses. I won't lie, there are good things about the company, and they offer more than a lot of companies offer.

Cons

Even those who've been there for 10+ years are not safe. People are getting fired left and right. And no, prospective employees, they are not being replaced. Each line of business has to maintain a certain "head count", plus, its one less person in the fantastical matched savings fund, one less person to pay the employers portion of health insurance, and one less person on the payroll... they have to keep overhead costs down. They don't want you to print paper (Costs too much) but they have by far one of the most convoluted systems for electronically archiving information. There is a dress code which is basically not enforced for a certain population. Men wear ties, but some women wear sweatpants and leisure clothing. There is not much room for advancement. They have already mapped out who will be in charge and who will get promoted, and it's discreet, so even if you apply for one of the open positions chances are they "already have someone in mind". Finally, as a current employee, I agree with almost all of the negative reviews here. No one is tag teaming against NJM. We just want a decent paycheck to support our families. Little did we know we would be pawns in their game to compete against the bigger national carriers. If you are lucky to join just know that even if coming in at 8 working until 4:15 and taking exactly 30 minutes for lunch was the expectation, you still have to go above and beyond (Within reason because you can overstep boundaries) work independently but always ask your supervisors what to do next, work as a team but not ask too many questions, do all of your tasks with few mistakes, and never ever ever assume. and even then you could still wind up getting let go.
