Pros

Steady employment, good cafeteria, clean buildings, education provided (although no tuition reimbursement)

Cons

Simply put, NJM does not provide a good employment experience for younger people. The lack of flexibility, trust and empowerment with regard to employees is problematic and is the main reason people are not staying. Additionally, there is an obvious problem with diversity that causes the company to have a limited perspective on business operations and treatment of different types of employees. Technology is another problem area due to outdated thinking. There are so many better places to work in New Jersey.

Pros

Decent pay and good benefits but you will sell your soul for them.

Cons

I had a gossipping supervisor who loved to spend a tremendous amount of time talking trash about other employees behind their backs. In general it was a very negative environment. The place is rife with extreme favoritism, micromanaging supervisors, and excessive workloads. Many fellow employees died in their 50s and early 60s. I have no doubt that the toxicity (which is prevalent throughout the entire company) contributed to their demise. I had hoped to retire from there one day but finally realized that I might never live long enough to do so because of the extreme stress I was constantly feeling. I now work at a wonderful company where the atmosphere is calm, no one is breathing down my neck 24/7, and I am finally at peace!

Pros

Not a terrible salary, good benefits 401k company match, free soup.

Cons

It is nearly impossible to move up here, it will take you multiple years to even become a Senior Licensed Rep, and thats only if upper management likes you since your supervisor puts in your name and then they discuss if you're "ready." They push and push overtime and after taxes you make literally nothing. I felt like i wasn't being supported by upper management and honestly i was miserable working here.
