Pay is decent and obviously as a smaller mill the pay will not be the same as the big mills next door. The insurance is awesome too.

Cons

Everyone at every level is micromanaged by the manager and VP. There's absolutely a break in the chain of command. I actually think out supervisors have it the worst. Not only do they have to deal with every problem but they also (and this is the break in the chain of command) have to call the VP themselves to get yelled at when the ancient equipment breaks like they are personally responsible for it. I don't know why any of them stay.

Everything else. Scheming, lying, manipulative management and absolutely no real regard for safety or employees health.

It is sad to hear that you believe this behavior occurred at one of our sites. We have a confidential ethics hot line for employees to use and have also used a pulse survey coupled with deep structured interviews to hear from our people and these issues never came up.
