Pros

Colleagues and clients are what makes it bearable

Cons

Middle management have no integrity and lie to save their own skin which is encouraged by senior management Hugely long working hours to meet unrealistic targets means pay is at best around minimum wage

Pros

Seem to be making efforts to improve and there's some great (but wasted) talent within the organisation. Sadly, there are very few positives...

Cons

Too many to list... - Negative, pessimistic, unsophisticated culture in the office. A number of cliques. Unprofessional comments and behaviour. Not very welcoming. Known by many but no one speaks up about it. - Difficult to maintain a healthy work/life balance. All talk no action from management. Pretend to care. - Siloed, isolated working environment. Poor collaborative working amongst different departments. Almost feels like different companies working in different buildings. No 'oneness' in working together. - Internal systems, technology software outdated in the most part, in comparison to many other companies of similar size/profit; laborious and unnecessarily time-consuming. - It is definitely apparent to staff that the company, whilst claiming to be all about promoting and public public health, is actually very profit driven. This is sad to see and witness.

Pros

No pros, only pain, toxicity

Cons

Africa Office used as cheap labour. Staff are underpaid. The benefits listed on the NSF website does not apply to staff in the Africa Office even though the company claims the values, “Treat People Well and We are One Nsf”. Clearly the staff in the Africa Office are not seen as “people”. When it comes to performance reviews; Company performance will be 200%, Individual performance will be 100% and yet NSF will find a way not to give 100% of salary bonus.
