Pros

Great public mission and NSF does great work in the Water and Food Equipment industries. Middle management and below are chocked full of really competent and good people.

Cons

Senior management not grounded in reality. Leadership has a tendency to jump into businesses without appropriate market research, then pull the plug before the business has a chance to gain traction and succeed. Mergers are similar with little or no post merger integration strategy.

IT department is the most stressful work environment I have ever seen

Pros

nice building, good medical, good location

Cons

Vey stressful, low compensation, lots of manual work, no training, poor work experience, understaffed. Some other deparments are good but IT department is a hopeless place. No wonder it has huge attrition rate and that adds even more burden on already stressed people. Some other departments are better.

Best place to start the career.... it is like a Learning Institution ... Most of the people are Great.., hardworking, talented and creative; They do a lot of Charity Work too...

Cons

Pay is not Good (and not right for the work you do) ... Promotions are very Hard to get...
