Pros

Was once a well-respected global organization.

Cons

Disruptive senior leadership, many of whom are new hires, focused on reducing headcount with little to no regard for human life. The irony is that NSF claims to protect human health.

Pros

Lots of sponsored events. Halloween party is awesome

Cons

Too many to list. Safe work practices are non-existent, the manager spends is days watching YouTube while the techs hang out in the "good ol boys" club. No drive, no ethics, no incentive to work hard. Upper management is non-existent. They pass down lofty goals, while gutting budgets and lining their own pockets. I was instructed to climb into a running cooling tower to clean nozzles. A massive no-no. Lockout-tag out is non existent. I had to beg to purchase basic PPE. Lighting ballasts were changed out live. For a year, they had a 400 DC power line just stretched across the Pools Lab. People walked over it, ran over with lifts and carts. A disaster of a company.

Pros

Good opportunity and job for recent graduates without family obligations.

Cons

Lack of professional development. Lack of opportunities for promotions. Overworked and overpaid- too much travel (driving) without much flexibility in regards to times inspections were allowed to be conducted. Promotions were not based on qualifications such as education and experience but rather who you know. Unethical behavior/ changing audit findings was encouraged to keep clients happy. Majority of auditors have NO understanding of food safety and are simply checking the boxes. Poor work/personal life balance.
