What are the pros?

Pros

Title says it all. Work for this company only if you like to hate your job.

Cons

There are too many cons to list, but here are the highlights. The pay is woefully below market value. There’s no culture beyond micromanagement and under appreciation. It’s a massive company, and upper management makes it clear that they intend to keep it growing by keeping raises and employee perks as low as possible. Only C suite relatives and pet employees get promotions. Overall, it’s just really hard to work at this company. Turnover is way higher than it should be at a company this size because they just can’t keep good people on the payroll.

Lots of wasted potential

Pros

There are growth opportunities if you're willing to wear many hats. Middle level management is really good and tries to make up for the mistakes upper management makes.

Cons

Upper management really needs management training. They are exhausting to deal with, and don't seem to appreciate anyone below the director level. There are a ton of very talented people who want to do a good job, one of them being my manager, but they are only ever acknowledged to be told they are doing something wrong. I have seen multiple members of the C-suite scream at people in open office areas, and belittle employees for the smallest thing. There is also a ton of micromanagement towards people who are very competent, who should just be trusted to do a good job rather than having constant oversight. The pay is below average for every position in the company, except for family members of the C-suite. Nutricost has the potential to be a great place to work, and middle management does their best under the circumstances, but the company will be held back until upper management treats people better.

Great company, poor leadership

Pros

Great products, pay is ok.

Cons

Morale at the company is very low. Employees aren’t appreciated by leadership. One of the worst companies I’ve ever worked for when it comes to employee appreciation. They do not invest in their employees. PTO is horrendous. 6 days your first year. Benefits are not good. Until things change, stay away.
