Pros

Good coworkers made a terrible workplace bearable. Good slate of benefits but they are expensive.

Cons

NV5 management could care less about employees. The only concern they have is your utilization. If you not making them money you will hear about it. Working long hours or weekends is not appreciated. Not even any of expression of gratitude for the effort. Such is life in a big corporation I guess. You are truly just a number. My manager was terrible answering emails and would get pissy if pressed about it. I have been gone from there for two months and I feel so much better. Working now for a company that cares about their employees

- Not existent benefits (high medical premiums, no 401K match, no bonus) - Salaries not competent - Company works on a model where it acquires small (and good) firms and spoils their work/reputation

1. Company promises matching 401k contributions but they don't 2. Unrealistic sales goals which dictates salary raises 3. Director puts her own interest before her team's interest, e.g. taking sales credit for all existing and new projects. Thus, others in the team are not able to meet their sales goals and get a raise 4. Director berates employees, particularly the junior staff.
