Coming up on my first year with NVA, I have felt so welcomed into a team of professionals that truly know, collectively, why we all started in this type of work in the first place. The level of support has been a pleasure and I look forward to growing with the company.

Pros

Overall great support - they encourage veterinary hospitals to practice medicine at the local level, while providing great background support in financials, operations, HR, marketing, IT, etc.

Cons

With the enormous growth happening, the regional management seems a bit overwhelmed and the support center seems stretched thin. Still great support, but it's not as good as it once was.

Working with animals and employees who care about the animals

Cons

Incredibly toxic work environment and culture. Subpar compensation, lack of growth opportunities, and an HR team that does not support and advocate for the employees or protect against harassment. Leadership is 99.9% male and female executives do not support other women in the organization. The executives claim to believe in “servant leadership” but in practice all that means is the corporate teams are overworked and under appreciated. Stay away from this company.
