      Pros

      Great mission! Co-workers who care about the work they do. Interesting work. NYS is leading the way in clean energy.

      Difficult to get promoted, and very siloed

      Pros

      Older generation individual contributors are great to work with. New generation has no clue about energy and engineering.

      Cons

      It is FAKE R&D. NYSERDA does not do any R&D. Somehow it collects 1 billion dollars of taxpayers money every year and Governor's women/men decide where that money is spent. It is mostly spent in giving incentives. Someone should look into this money channel. As if New Yorkers are not paying enough in taxes.
